About the Author/Reader
Roger Zelazny – HUGO & NEBULA AWARD-WINNING author
Roger burst onto the SF scene in the early 1960s with a series of dazzling and groundbreaking short stories. He won his first of six Hugo Awards for Lord of Light, and soon after produced the first book of his enormously popular Amber series, Nine Princes in Amber. In addition to his Hugos, he went on to win three Nebula Awards over the course of a long and distinguished career. He died on June 14, 1995.

Great book, excellent audiobook.

I am going to be brief here. Loved the book and the audiobook is also excellent. Having it read by the author is an added bonus as he imbues the material with his enthusiasm and conveys the attitude and emotion of the characters extremely well. All-in-all a worthy investment for any true fans or even just someone who wants to listen to a quality story read by a legend of the genre.

Can't go wrong with this series. I have loved it since I was a kid and am still a huge fan of the series and the author. The sound quality is not the greatest but it's to be expected given that these were lost for a time and may have had to be fixed up quite a bit. I'm just glad they've been released at all. Excellent story for those not familiar with it. The tone changes heavily as the series goes on but it is amazing all the way through. Obviously I am biased a bit being a fan already of the books but I think anyone would like this series even if they have never heard of it. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed.
