When Howie and his team are hired to find the young migrant who has escaped, they soon find themselves on the run from Federal agents. But what really happened at the burrito truck? Who is a friend, who is an enemy, who shot the masked gunman, were the raiders even truly from ICE?

With danger close on their heels, the quest for truth takes Howie, Jack, and Georgie into the remote desert to a well-guarded pleasure palace for the very rich that calls itself Xanadu, and finally to a high mountain valley where a revolution is brewing.
