He wrote numerous stories about prominent Arizona politicians, and their successes and blunders that shaped Arizona.

Lee had three novels published during and after his newspaper career, including Gunblaze by Leisure Books; Border Legend by Walker and Company, and Davy Crockett for Dell’s American Explorers series.

Border Legend was expanded to three novels, and the trilogy, about the Apache Wars in Arizona and northern Mexico following the Civil War, was published by World Castle Publishing.

His latest western/historical trilogy, Dangerous Land, takes place during the Mexican War and the Civil War along the Rio Grande River in southern Texas, as the main character build’s the largest cattle ranch in the state’s history.

Lee left the newspaper business to pursue a career in real estate, and still owns a real estate company, Southwestern Homes Realty, in Phoenix, Arizona. He’s been a real estate broker for more than twenty years.

He and his wife, Sue, have two sons and two daughters who live in the Phoenix metropolitan area with their families. Lee and Sue have twelve grand-children. They enjoy traveling, and spend most of their vacations on the west coast.

Lee is an avid outdoorsman, who walks his labradoodle three or four miles every morning. His favorite passion is hiking the Grand Canyon once or twice each year, and he plays golf regularly.

He has returned to writing novels on a full-time basis and concentrates on southwestern historical fiction and crime/thrillers, with action being the dominant focus.
